    0t Ashley amp 2075

i know they're listing for 5 bills. (and i sure as hell wouldn't pay that.) but are these things just a kabukized economy version? i bought one and it's not too bad. i havent heard any bad habits, but i haven't pushed it hard. mostly want use them for horns. it's hard to get 1U amps. and between this and the 4441s that weight 30 lbs, i can't hear much difference. anyone have any thoughts on this?

Can't speak to that model, but Ashly amps are usually very good. Another nice 1u is the Crown d75a.

Class D with switching power supply. Certainly not where i would point my search beacon for an HF amp.

That said, i've never been disappointed with any Ashly gear, and i'v owned several hundred lbs of it over the years.

I think i'd do exactly what you;re doing Phil, in fact i am probably going to. Find one on the cheap, and audition the bejeezus out of it.

For me, Ashly is cheap shipping as they're just a couple hours away in Rochester. In the past, 50 bucks plus parts has been the standard out of warranty service fee.
